A Great Spot
Very helpful to new "owlers"

If you live in, have visited, or want to live in, Idaho....
Best book on Idaho in 50 years!

The Original & Best! (and it's not Corn Flakes)1. Liquid: talks (sings, actually) about Christ's sacrifice for us, and how "He didn't die for nothing." I liked all the instruments in the background, too.
2. Sinking: about how we can try to convince ourselves that we don't need God; that we're fine on our own. But then it goes into how God sees through our lies and we should turn to Him for healing.
3. Love Song For a Savior: my favorite! The title is pretty self-explanatory, I think. It's a beautiful song about coming closer to God; and how much He loves us.
4. Like a Child: another favorite! This one's about how if we have faith like a child, we can move mountains!
5. Art in Me: external looks and/or occupations shouldn't be judged, according to this song. It talks about how Christ sees "the art" in all of us, and wants us to do the same to others.
6. He: this song was kind of sad. It talks about a guy who is hurting because of the rotten things he's done, and wants to hide from God. Also, his parents are abusive and non-supportive, and wants to hide from them. But God holds His children, even this guy, in His hands.
7. Boy on a String: about being ourselves and becoming the man/woman that God wants us to be; not just going along with the crowd and being like a puppet, doing what others want you to.
8. Flood: talks of a great "flood" and how we can't swim all forty days without Christ. He lifts us when we fall, and saves us from "drowning" in our confusion; He'll hold us when we need it.
9. Worlds Apart: about how what we think we need and what we believe are "worlds apart."
10. Blind: talks about how our cynical, doubting selves blind us from God and His redemption; saying "blind words you call; blind words will fall."
Great Christian Rock with beautiful lyrics

Excellent summary of #7's NFL life and career
A must for the Elway fan

Great! Fun! Super!
Way better than five stars! But, when I received it, I was totally floored at the quality - hardcover, great paper, clear pictures, well-written instructions. It was so much better than I'd even anticipated.
This book was written for someone much younger than I am, but I found it completely entertaining, throughout. Very thorough "basics" section, including a look at making simple canes, then on to the projects. Lively and colorful from cover to cover.
Jazzy, upbeat writing, hip kids in artful demonstration, wonderful photography, lots of humor and cool fonts surround each of the thirty projects. There are beginner items to advanced - critters, jewelry, things to make for gifts, from simple to sophisticated - kids are going to absolutely love this book! And just in time to give to a young person before the appearance of "summer doldrums," too. :)
But, I don't think its appeal is limited to the 8-14 years-old age bracket because IMO, most adults would find it fun, too. I'd recommend this one to beginning clayers of any age.
Congratulations to Irene and her terrific editor for a fabulous, fun book!

The best "common sense" book on management I've seen.
EXCELLENT reference tool for those in management!

Great for new managers!
A "First Aid Kit" for the new manager

Many artists with many fabulous projectsEach project artist submitted their text, project and work samples resulting in a good sampling of diversity for the materials. Georgia Sargeant culled from these submissions the most interesting and with her fine writers' skills polished up the manuscript to present clearly understandable directions and information for many new techniques.
The photographic close ups are extremely helpful in supporting the instructions for each step, making following along a simple and fun process.
I often use this book when I teach polymer clay and Precious Metal Clay programs. My students have found it to be a great resource for the techniques in both media.
I think this is definitely a new classic when it comes to polymer clay and Precious Metal Clay and I'm very honored to have been a part of this project.
This is the book to stir your creative juices! The second section of the book explores the basics of using silver clay as well as some more detailed projects. Celie Fago is renowned for her work with silver and this book gives her a chance to show what one can create using the clay form of this metal. The fact that silver and polymer clay can be combined to make some unusual and striking projects gives this book an extra dimension.
The Gallery section is truly a feast for the eye, not only for polymer clay aficionados, but for anyone who appreciates beautiful and creative art work.
Well organized and edited, with the help I'm sure of Liva McRee, this is one of those must have books for just about anyone.
